How to detect and remove MAC OSX Flashback Trojan

Until now apple company product's are the secured ones, which are free from viruses, worms etc. But now a Trojan called Flashback/Flashfake has targeted MAC OS platforms and infected nearly 700,000 mac PC's. Which is combined with botnet and capable of stealing personal information.

While surfing the net if it displays wrong search results or asking to install an update then know that you are infected and the program passess the victim's ip address and UUID to the author of that trojan.

“The Flashback Trojan is a wake-up call for everyone who’s online – no matter what platform or device they use,” said Norton Internet Safety Advocate Marian Merritt.

How to Detect:

Through the kaspersky's flashbackcheck database, copy and paste your Hardware UUID and know that you are infected or not.To find your UUID, select the menu item "About this Mac" in Finder and choose "More info …" Find "Hardwire UUID" in the window that opens, and copy its value to the clipboard.
